T-Shirt Quilt

This is a type of memory quilt where all of those T-shirts that have been collected over the years can to be put to use.  What better way than a quilt.  The shirts should be regular T-shirt fabric, not the rubberized type with mesh as they must be able to be ironed.

This class is scheduled for Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 11AM—2PM.  Additional classes can be scheduled as needed.

Instructor:  Jan Whitten

Skill Level:  Beginner

Investment:  $20 plus supplies

  .  Portrait Quilt

We are very fortunate to have found Aniko who is from Ann Arbor.  She teaches the technique of  creating an individualized portrait using fabric.  She has patterns available or you can take a favorite photo of a loved one or a favorite pet and have it enlarged to 8 1/2 x 11 but no larger than 11 x 14.

This class is scheduled for Saturday July 10 and 17, 2010 from 10AM—4:30PM.  By the second Saturday, the project will be completed and Aniko tells me she has a 100% success rate with all of her students.

Instructor:  Aniko

Skill Level:  Advanced Beginner

Investment:  $100 plus supplies

Don’t Forget—the first Thursday of each month the appliqué club meets from 11 to 1 here at the shop.  Those of you who are taking the appliquéd Baltimore and perhaps need a bit of help can get it then.
